A double from Wilfried Zaha handed Crystal Palace a 3-1 victory over Manchester United in week 2 of the new English Premier League season.
Andros Townsend scored a seventh-minute opener in what was the beginning of a very tough evening for United at Old Trafford.
United still had the game in the balance until 20 minutes to the end of play when Palace were awarded a penalty, after a handball from the lacklustre Victor Lindelof in the penalty box.
Goalkeeper David de Gea saved Jordan Ayew’s penalty but a re-take was ordered, and Zaha grabbed the first of his double from the spot.
United new signing Donny van de Beek pulled one back after coming on as a substitute for Paul Pogba, but Zaha added a third Palace goal in the 85th minute, holding off Lindelof and smashing past De Gea for the win.
