Beyond his work as a producer and recording artist, Uchenna Benjamin, known as UrchMan, is using his experience in music production to support emerging creatives.
Since starting his professional career in 2018, UrchMan has worked with artists and creative professionals in Nigeria, particularly across Port Harcourt and Lagos.
His involvement has extended beyond producing music to sharing practical knowledge around production techniques and modern music technology.
According to the producer, creating opportunities for emerging artists remains an important part of his creative philosophy.
His work has provided a platform for some creatives to develop and record their music while gaining greater confidence in their artistic abilities.
The approach reflects the growing importance of peer learning and collaboration within Nigeria’s creative economy, where access to technical knowledge can significantly influence the development of emerging talent.
UrchMan continues this work while developing his own international career in the UK.
His long-term ambition is to combine music production, artistic expression and creative development in ways that can support young talents while strengthening the visibility of African music globally.
