Nigerian music sensation, Tiwa Savage reiterated that she got the inspiration to produce her debut movie production, Water and Garri, from JayZ’s diversified revenue approach of owning different enterprises and entities.
Reflecting on her motivation, Tiwa Savage said that ‘Water and Garri’ was brought to fruition to inspire African Women on the importance of setting goals and pushing boundaries.
“It was important for me to do this, to inspire other African girls and African women that it’s important that whatever we put our minds to we can achieve it,” She said.
The movie which premiered on the 10th of May Directed by Meji Alabi and produced by Savage and Jimi Adesanya has garnered praise for its gripping narrative and stellar performances and has made waves globally, as one of the top 10 films on Prime Video in 14 countries.
In a press conference, Tiwa Savage revealed that another exciting project is on its way to hit the screen of Nollywood.
“We are already working on another script. I can’t give too much away, but this one is going to be special.”
