Nigerian Afrobeats star Asake has released the official music video for “MCBH,” one of the standout tracks from his chart-topping fourth studio album, M$NEY.
The release comes days after the two-time Grammy nominee headlined Afro Nation Portugal on July 4, marking another milestone in what has been a successful year for the singer.
Directed by filmmaker Jyde Ajala, the visual was shot against the backdrop of the historic Bodiam Castle in southern England. The video combines cinematic storytelling with fashion, featuring Asake alongside model Mariana Jaguite in scenes that reflect the themes of gratitude, prosperity and faith explored throughout the album.
Styled in a custom stoned Mazelle outfit, Asake also wears pieces from luxury fashion brands including Gentle Monster, Gucci, Christian Louboutin, Maison Margiela, Wales Bonner, Balmain and Kiko Kostadinov.
Released in May, M$NEY continues Asake’s blend of Afrobeats, melodic innovation and Yoruba-inspired storytelling. The album topped streaming charts in more than 19 countries, including Nigeria, and reached No. 8 on the United States album chart.
Its commercial success also earned Asake a place among the world’s leading digital artists, with Kworb Data ranking him as the 15th most-streamed digital artist globally.
Following the album’s success, the singer is set to embark on his In God We Trust Tour, which will take him across North America and Europe beginning in August. South African Amapiano star Uncle Waffles will join him as a special guest on selected North American dates.
