American singer, Justin Timberlake has admitted that he stumbled during 2004 Super Bowl LII halftime performance with Janet Jackson. The last time the “SexyBack” singer took the big game stage he accidentally exposed her breast on live TV.
In a new interview for Beats 1, host Zane Lowe asked Timberlake how he responded to the embarrassing fashion malfunction after the performers left the stage.
“Yeah and I stumbled through it, to be quite honest,” Timberlake replied. “I had my wires crossed, and it’s just something that you have to look back on and go, like, ‘OK, well, you know, you can’t change what’s happened but you can move forward and learn from it.'”
Timberlake seems to have made peace with the incident. When asked if he and Jackson have been able to resolve the situation, Timberlake replied, “Absolutely.”
“And I don’t know that a lot of people know that,” he added. “I don’t think it’s my job to do that because you value the relationships that you do have with people.”
Still, the “Suit & Tie” singer said he won’t make the same mistake when he takes the stage this February.
“It’s just one of those things were you go like, ‘Yeah, what do you want me to say? We’re not going to do that again,'” he said.
