The senator representing Kaduna Central, Senator Shehu Sanni has said that the  South West political zone is ripe enough to have state police as a result of her level of civilization and development.
He said this at the 5th edition of Olalekan Olomide Platform for Development lecture held in Ibadan.
While answering question on the issue of state police, Senator Sanni maintained that the South West is mature to have state police, but not from his constituency where the governor is bulldozing his own  party’s secretariat and because of that, no sane man will do such a thing.
He stated further that if such person were given power to prosecutes, kill and arrest, there will be power mismanagement. The senator therefore said that is one of the reasons he did not support the call for state police.
Senator Sanni thereby challenged Nigerians to ask the president to reveal the running cost of  political appointees, the ministers, governors , commissioners and members of state houses of assembly.
