Pius Eguono Onodjae, one of the legislative aides to Charles Oniyere, a member representing Ughelli North Constituency 1 at the Delta State House of Assembly Asaba, has tendered his resignation letter.
Onodjae resigned to support the people-oriented vision of Barrister Matthew Onojighofia Omonade, which is captured in his well-articulated manifesto.
Omonade’s aspiration is inspiring and bears some redemptive fervor. Mr. Onodjae, who has always admired Omonade’s intellectual commitment, integrity, and decorum, has decided to toe the line of truth by supporting Omanade’s great plan for the people of Ughelli North Constituency 1.
Onodjae after his resignation, noted that in 2018, he had so much admiration and conviction for Barrister Omonade’s intellectuality, kindheartedness, and modesty when he (Omonade) was contesting for the House of Assembly, but he was too blinded by political sentiments to see the truth.
Onodjae added that among the aspirants contesting to represent Ughelli North Constituency 1 in DTHA in 2023, Barrister Omonade stands out prominently, as the most competent and most prepared for the legislative business.
According to him, he resigned from his appointment to support Barrister Omonade’s vision because he is confident that Omonade will bring the desired positive transformation to the Constituency.
Onodjae emphasized that it is risky to shy away from the truth now because if the people fail to get it right this time, they may live to regret it.
