Vincent Enyeama has advised Herve Koffi to keep working hard and stay focused, while promising to take the youngster under his wings.

The 34-year-old wants to ensure the youngster receive the best possible guidance as he strives to make his mark at Stade Pierre-Mauroy.

Koffi joined Lille from Asec Mimosas on a long term deal, and would compete with the former Nigeria international and Mike Maignan for a regular place in Marcelo Bielsa’s squad.

The 20-year-old made his mark for Burkina Faso at the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations, where he helped the Stallions place third – and Enyeama is keen to give him the best possible advice to help him flourish.

”Koffi is a fantastic young goalkeeper and I’m very proud to see another African come to the club,’’ he told BBC Sport.

“It’s heart-warming to see a young African goalkeeper earn a move to Europe; it says a lot about his qualities.

“My advice to him is that he should focus on what has brought him to France, keep working hard and concentrate on his job.

“I’ll be available to help him settle and give him all the necessary support he needs.”
