Multi-talented Afro Jazz trumpeter and songwriter Okwi Iguwe Godwin popularly known as Kwitee has released his debut jazz album titled “Shadows“.

In Shadows, Kwitee proves why indeed he is one of the best trumpeters in Africa.

“Shadows” is a 12-track classic and soul-serenading jazz album comprised entirely of original compositions, with the exception of “Salute to Marley,” a remake of Bob Marley’s “Redemption Song.”

According to Kwitee, “Shadows are formed when an object or material is placed in the path of rays of light. With this album, I am placing my inner energy, love for music, and creativity in the path of light and what you are about to see is a reflection of the many awesomeness of Kwitee”

The album explores a wide range of ideas and moods through an enjoyable blend of styles ranging from classical to afro/highlife jazz, soul to smooth and contemporary jazz, and tells a story of love for life, men and nature, hope, and perseverance.

Shadows is a masterpiece of art that proves that true art, like Kwitee’s, is limitless, seamless, and utterly divine.

Shadows is Kwitee’s debut album, following the 2018 release of Don’t Quit, his debut EP featuring the legendary Tee Mac Iseli.

“Shadows” is available on all digital platforms.
