The Department of State Services has arrested the acting chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Magu, on Monday afternoon.
According to PM News, Magu was arrested in the agency’s premises located at Wuse, Abuja.
“It was so embarrassing”, said a staff of the agency, adding that the gunmen arrested their boss in a commando-style.
Reports said he was arrested over allegations that he owns four properties and that he had been involved with money laundering.
Neither the DSS nor the EFCC has issued a statement.
