The Founder of Save the Boy Child Foundation, Hon. Abraham Oba, has reaffirmed the organisation’s commitment to empowering vulnerable boys through vocational training, mentorship, and skills development, describing the initiative as a long-term investment in Nigeria’s future.
Speaking on the foundation’s mission, Oba said the organisation was established to provide opportunities for boys who have been left behind by poverty, school dropout, unemployment, and social neglect.
According to him, the foundation works directly within communities, markets, and workshops across Nigeria to identify vulnerable young boys and connect them with practical skills, mentorship, and the tools required to become self-reliant.
“We don’t just give cash. We give hope. We teach skills. We provide tools. We become mentors, helping boys transform frustration into purpose and potential into productivity,” he said.
Oba noted that the foundation believes empowering boys goes beyond changing individual lives, stressing that every boy who is equipped with the right support contributes to stronger families, safer communities, and a more prosperous nation.
He said the organisation remains committed to creating pathways for disadvantaged boys to become responsible citizens, entrepreneurs, artisans, and future leaders capable of making meaningful contributions to society.
“Our vision is simple but powerful: Skills, Not Shame. Future, Not Forgotten. We believe that when you save a boy, you save a family, strengthen a community, and help build a better Nigeria,” he added.
As it expands its outreach across the country, Save the Boy Child Foundation says it will continue to partner with individuals, organisations, and communities to ensure that more vulnerable boys have access to life-changing opportunities through education, vocational training, and mentorship.
The foundation maintains that its mission is to restore hope and unlock the potential of Nigeria’s next generation—one boy at a time.
