A group of 12 emerging Nigerian artists will showcase their works at the “Cultural Imprint Exhibition,” a week-long art event scheduled to hold from October 17 to 23, 2022, at the National Museum, GRA, Ilorin.
The exhibition, which is free to attend, will feature a vibrant collection of paintings, sculptures, digital art, and mixed media, focusing on themes of identity, heritage, and contemporary African expression. The event is expected to attract art collectors, cultural enthusiasts, investors, and members of the creative economy.
According to the organisers, the exhibition aims to highlight the creative originality of young Nigerian talents who are redefining modern art narratives beyond the country’s borders.
“This platform is a celebration of culture and innovation which gives visibility to artists who are already making subtle imprints on the global art scene,” the announcement reads.
Among the featured artists are Musa Fareedah, Sumaiya Abdulrazaq, Aisha Dansakara, Obafolahan Hadid, Bolakale Raheem, Muiz Oba, Maryam Yahya, Adedamola Raji, Michael Adeyanju, Oyindamola Abdulkadir, Zainab Nurudeen, and Ayahtu Lateef.
The exhibition will open daily from 10:00 a.m. during the week and will serve as a cultural hub for dialogue, artistic appreciation, and networking within Nigeria’s growing creative industry.
