In 2016, the founders of Vine announced that the six-second video sharing app would be shutting down, prompting widespread sadness online.
But on Thursday, founder Dom Hofmann announced that, for those who miss Vine, some relief may be on the way.
“I’m going to work on a follow-up to vine,” Hoffman wrote. “I’ve been feeling it myself for some time and have seen a lot of tweets, dms, etc.”
He added: “Nothing else to share yet, but more as it develops.”

Vine was a short-form video hosting service where users could share six-second-long looping video clips.
The service was founded in June 2012, and American microblogging website Twitter acquired it in October 2012, just before its official launch.

Twitter officially shuts down Vine – Jan. 17, 2017.
